PETALING JAYA: Sarawak accounted for 11 of the 12 locations nationwide recording unhealthy air quality readings as of 10.35am on Tuesday (Aug 11).
IPD Serian recorded the highest reading at 189, followed by Samarahan, Kuching, Bintulu, Samalaju, Mukah, Sibu, Sarikei, Sri Aman, Miri and ILP Miri, according to the Environment Department’s Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS).
Johan Setia in Klang also recorded unhealthy air quality readings at 152.
Unhealthy air quality is recorded when readings range between 101 to 200.
Meanwhile, 53 locations nationwide recorded moderate air quality levels.
Areas bordering on unhealthy air quality levels include Shah Alam, Putrajaya, Labuan and Cheras.
