Selangor cops hunting for suspected child molester


PETALING JAYA: A young girl is believed to have been molested by a foreign man at a business premises in Sungai Buloh on Wednesday (July 29).

Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said police received a report on the incident and launched an investigation.

"Initial investigations found that the victim is believed to have been molested by the suspect, a foreign man.

"Police are tracking down the suspect to assist in the investigation.

"The case is being investigated under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017," he said in a statement.

Supt Mohd Hafiz urged anyone with information on the incident to contact the investigating officer, Insp Muhammad Amirul Amin Shukor, at 013-669 5290 or the Sungai Buloh district police headquarters at 03-6156 1222.

He added that members of the public could also provide information by visiting their nearest police station to assist in the investigation.
