PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Razak has urged Negri Sembilan voters to exercise their responsibilities at the ballot box.
As polling is underway, the incarcerated former prime minister said that polling day is decision day.
“Once every five years, you are given a chance to decide on the direction of Negri Sembilan,” he said in a Facebook post on Saturday (Aug 1).
“To all Negri Sembilan voters, go out to vote and fulfil your responsibility.
“Every vote is valuable. Don’t let others decide the future of the state for you,” he added.
He urged Negri Sembilan voters to bring their families, relatives and friends to go out and vote.
“Negri Sembilan is in your hands,” he said.
A total of 401 polling centres involving 1,668 streams for the 16th Negri Sembilan state election opened simultaneously at 8am today.
