Melaka polls: MCMC to monitor social media, warns against 3R issues

MELAKA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will continue monitoring social media content ahead of the Melaka state election and reminds internet users not to touch on 3R issues involving religion, race and royalty.

Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching said the monitoring was part of MCMC's role as the regulator of the communications and multimedia sector, with the commission also working with other enforcement agencies when necessary.
