SEPANG: An Indonesian man has been arrested after causing a ruckus inside the KL International Airport (KLIA).
KLIA OCPD Asst Comm Ravi Munusamy, in a statement Tuesday (July 28), said the arrest was made on July 27 in Terminal One.
At the time of the incident, the suspect had become aggressive after a five-hour delay to his flight to Indonesia.
"He directed abusive language, threats, and provocative remarks at the airline staff on duty. Terminal security personnel who responded to calm the situation escorted the suspect to the Immigration Department office at Terminal 1.
"However, the suspect became aggressive, behaved indecently, and refused to comply with instructions given by Immigration officers on duty.
"He was subsequently arrested by auxiliary police at KLIA and handed over to the KLIA police for further investigation,” he said.
The 25-year-old man has been remanded for four days.
