A YOUNG man who spent more than four months sleeping in his car has been given a fresh start after a couple offered him their apartment rent-free, Harian Metro reported.

Fadhullah Fiziria Shah Shahnun Azli, known as Fizi, moved into the unit near Taman Bangi Avenue after businessman Imran Khan Sulaiman and his wife, Isdatul Asyirin Ismail, learnt of his plight through news reports and videos shared on social media.

Imran Khan, 33, said the couple had bought the apartment in 2022 and received the keys in October last year, but had yet to move in.

“Rather than leaving the apartment empty, we felt it would be better for Fizi to stay there.”

He said he made the decision after discussing the matter with his wife, adding that they bought a mattress and other necessities before helping Fizi move in.

Imran Khan said there was no time limit on Fizi’s stay and no rent would be charged.

He expressed hope that the young man would regain stability and build a sustainable livelihood.

Fizi, who earns money through affiliate marketing, said he was deeply touched by the couple’s sincerity.

He hopes to rebuild his life as an entrepreneur while helping to promote Imran Khan’s business through online affiliate sales.

> Young singer Auddra, better known as Odda, has dismissed claims that she receives preferential treatment in the entertainment industry because she is the daughter of the celebrity couple Sharifah Shahirah and Ijoy, Kosmo! reported.

The 17-year-old said she had never relied on her family’s influence to secure work, stressing that she goes through auditions like other aspiring artistes.

“Many people call me a ‘nepo baby’ and say I get jobs easily, but that is not true. I still attend auditions.

“People assume that, as Sharifah Shahirah’s daughter, I would get all sorts of opportunities, but that is not true,” she said at the launch of her new single, Gelanggang Rasa.

“My journey in the industry has not been easy. I’ve put in a lot of work.”

The former Talk to My Manager contestant said she was grateful that her dream of releasing a single had finally become a reality.
