Johor MB announces appointment of 10 deputy state exco members


ISKANDAR PUTERI: Johor has appointed 10 deputy state executive councillors, says Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

He said the proposal for the appointments had been presented to Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who had consented to the appointments.

"With these appointments, we hope to further strengthen the delivery of government services, speed up the resolution of issues affecting the people and ensure that every government initiative is implemented effectively," he said.

He said this at a press conference at Bangunan Dato' Jaafar Muhammad in Kota Iskandar on Wednesday (July 22).

Of the 10 deputy state executive councillors appointed, two are from MCA, one from MIC and seven from Umno.

The newly appointed deputy state executive councillors are as follows:

1. Zaidi Japar – Housing and Local Government

2. Nadhirah Afiqah Abdull Rahim – Youth and Sports, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives

3. Anuar Abd Manap – Islamic Religious Affairs

4. Mohd Youzaimi Yusof – Health and Environment

5. Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah – Investment, Trade, Consumer Affairs and Human Resources

6. Datuk Mohd Najib Samuri – Public Works, Transport, Infrastructure and Communications

7. Chan San San – Women, Family and Community Development

8. Sahrihan Jani – Agriculture, Agro-based Industry and Rural Development

9. Chua Jian Boon – National Unity, Heritage and Culture

10. V. Ruggendran – Education and Information
