PETALING JAYA: Nearly four out of every 10 vacancies currently available on the MYFutureJobs platform are high-skilled jobs, highlighting continued demand for qualified Malaysian workers across key industries, says Datuk Seri R. Ramanan (pic).
The Human Resources Minister said there are currently 96,700 active job vacancies on the platform, with almost 40% comprising high-skilled positions.
He said more than 30% of the vacancies are in the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector, while almost one in five offer monthly salaries exceeding RM5,000.
"These figures show that quality employment opportunities remain available for Malaysians across various industries and skill levels," he said in a statement on Wednesday (July 22).
Ramanan said a total of 668,321 vacancies had been advertised on PERKESO's MYFutureJobs platform as of June 30.
He said the government remains committed to ensuring Malaysians have access to quality employment through a labour market ecosystem that is more responsive, inclusive and resilient in line with the Malaysia Madani agenda.
Apart from connecting job seekers with employers, he said MYFutureJobs also provides career counselling, résumé review services, interview preparation, as well as reskilling and upskilling programmes to improve employability.
Ramanan said PERKESO has also continued to expand employment opportunities through MYFutureJobs Career Carnivals nationwide.
Between January and May this year, he said 2,989 career programmes were organised, attracting 86,594 job seekers.
"From these programmes, 14,029 individuals successfully secured employment, while another 15,809 advanced to the interview stage," he said.
He added that PERKESO also offers Mobility Assistance of up to RM1,000 to successful applicants who need to relocate for work.
Ramanan said the Human Resources Ministry would continue strengthening collaboration with employers and industry players to help more Malaysians secure quality jobs while enhancing their skills for long-term careers.
He also urged those seeking employment or planning a career change to take advantage of the MYFutureJobs platform.
