PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) members serving in Port Klang have been instructed to report any threats made against them while on duty to Port Klang AKPS commander, Deputy Comm Datuk Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal.
DCP Nik Ezanee, when contacted, gave his assurance that he will see to the matter personally, in light of the recent threat made to an AKPS officer there.
“My men know that they have a direct line to me. I have told them that if they face any which threats or such during their duties, they are to inform me directly,” he said, highlighting the seriousness of the matter.
“I will handle it personally, including if a police report is required to be made,” he said.
DCP Nik Ezanee also said that while he expects all AKPS members to maintain their professionalism, personal threats issued to them crossed a red line.
“Of course, we must remain professional, but there is a difference between dealing with someone that’s just angry, and actually getting threats to be shot. Police reports will be made if such incidences occur again,” he said.
He also emphasised that their commander is on their side in this instance.
“It is also a morale matter. They know that their commander is with them,” he said.
