Cops tracking white car that fled from fatal crash in Kajang

PETALING JAYA: Police are tracking down the driver of a white car that fled the scene after crashing into another vehicle following a fatal accident along the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway early Sunday (July 12).

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said the incident occurred at KM298.8 of the highway at about 5.45am.

"Initial investigations found that a brown car carrying a driver and two passengers is believed to have suddenly lost control before veering to the right, crashing into the road divider and spinning.

"A white car travelling behind then collided with the vehicle before leaving the scene," he said in a statement on Sunday.

He said a 27-year-old local woman, who was a passenger in the brown car, died at the scene.

The 20-year-old driver and a 22-year-old male passenger sustained injuries and are receiving treatment in the red and yellow zones at Hospital Serdang.

Police are appealing to the driver of the white car and any witnesses with information on the incident to contact Insp Ahmad Zahrein Muhd Suod at 017-381 8422 to assist in the investigation.
