KOTA KINABALU: Another alleged juvenile bullying case has been reported in the city by a father of two young children.
Acting OCPD Supt Syed Lot Syed Abdul Rahman said that according to the father, his two children, a girl aged 12 and a younger boy, were kicked in the head and stomach respectively by the same boy.
"The father said that a boy, his daughter's classmate, kicked her in the back of her head on Monday (July 6) while the following day, the same boy allegedly kicked his son in the stomach," he said here on Wednesday (July 8).
According to the report lodged on Tuesday (July 7), the girl experienced pain in her head while the boy was traumatised and scared.

The alleged bully was said to have been harassing both siblings verbally and physically since the start of the school term, Supt Syed Lot added.
He said police are identifying the suspect and recording statements from the victims, witnesses, teachers and school administrative staff.
Medical examinations are also being conducted on the siblings to determine any injury, he said.
Supt Syed Lot said the case is being probed under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and Section 507(b) of the Penal Code which makes it a criminal offence to use threatening, abusive, or insulting words, communications, or acts.
"We take any form of bullying or violence involving children very seriously, and will investigate this case thoroughly and transparently," he said while advising the public to refrain from speculating or spreading information which could affect the case.

He said the public should also protect the identity of the children involved in this incident and called for witnesses or those with credible information to come forward and assist investigations.

Earlier this month, 10 teenagers were held over the alleged beating of another in Tawau.
In June, several girls were investigated for allegedly bullying their hostel mate in Tenom.
In May, police hauled up several teenagers from the city said to have beaten up a girl over a misunderstanding.
All the cases are still under investigation.
