A WIFE hired gangsters to kill her estranged husband and his elder sister when they decided not to share their inheritance with her, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The man, Mathesh, 40, and his sister Nanjammal, 45, were found murdered with their throats slit in their home in Tamil Nadu.

Mathesh had been separated from his wife Geetha, 33.

Nanjammal helped to take care of the estranged couple’s two children after the separation.

An investigation found that the victims’ family had sold some properties and split the proceeds among six siblings.

Mathesh had apparently given his share of the seven million rupees (RM301,000) to his sister for looking after his children.

Geetha confronted her husband over the money and became infuriated to learn that the money had gone to Nanjammal.

She then sought the help of a relative and a friend’s brother to arrange for a hit and paid the thugs 600,000 rupees (RM25,700).

Police were able to establish the money trail and communication between Geetha, the accomplices and the hitmen.
