IPOH: The prosecution has rejected a representation filed by a woman accused of assaulting the Sultan of Perak during the state-level National Day celebrations last year.
Deputy public prosecutor Nasrul Hadi Abdul Ghani told the Magistrate's Court on Wednesday (July 1) that the prosecution was not accepting the representation seeking to have the charge withdrawn.
The court then adjourned proceedings after defence counsel Datuk Naran Singh was unable to attend on Wednesday (July 1).

She pleaded guilty in October last year but the court rejected the plea after medical reports from Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta showed she was suffering from schizophrenia and was not of sound mind during the incident.
She was charged under Section 352 of the Penal Code for using criminal force.
In February, she filed the representation with the Attorney General's Chambers to have the charge dropped.
