JOHOR BARU: A man was killed in a six-vehicle crash at KM31.9 of the southbound North-South Expressway (PLUS) just after the Kulai Rest and Relaxation area.

Kulai Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Senior Fire Officer II Khairil Mohd Adzami said a distress call was received at 9.02am yesterday and firefighters arrived to find some of the vehicles on fire.

The vehicles involved included a container lorry, a one-tonne lorry and a trailer, he added.

“The driver of the trailer was found dead at the scene,” he added in a statement, Bernama reported.

Khairil said information about the drivers of the container lorry and other lorry could not be obtained as they were not at the location during the operation. He added that those in the other vehicles were uninjured.
