Nancy Shukri's husband laid to rest in Kuching


KUCHING: Datuk Kamil Misuari, the husband of Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, has been laid to rest at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery here at 5.15pm on Friday (June 19).

About 100 family members and close friends attended the funeral to pay their final respects.

Kamil's remains were flown back from Kuala Lumpur and arrived at Kuching International Airport at 12.50pm before being taken to the family residence for funeral prayers ahead of the burial.

On Thursday (June 18), the minister’s office said in a statement that Kamil had died at a hospital in Kuala Lumpur.

Kamil, 65, married Nancy in 1985 and is survived by his wife and their three children. – Bernama
