KOTA KINABALU: Yayasan Sabah education loan borrowers will once again have the opportunity to enjoy attractive rebate incentives through the Budi Madani Rebate Programme 2026, which will be held from Aug 6-26, 2026.
This is a special initiative to recognise borrowers who have demonstrated commitment to repaying their education loans while promoting a sustainable repayment culture.
In a statement on Thursday (Aug 6) Yayasan Sabah said borrowers will be offered more attractive rebates across several categories to encourage greater participation in loan repayment.
The Budi Madani Rebate Programme 2026 offers three rebate categories.
For full settlement of outstanding loans, active payers will receive a 30% rebate while non-active payers will get a 25% rebate.
A 20% rebate is offered for borrowers who continue making repayments through their regular instalment plan.
Yayasan Sabah said the 2025 rebate programme resulted in the highest education loan collection of RM8mil since its establishment.
In conjunction with the launch of the programme, Yayasan Sabah will open special service counters for borrowers with its first roadshow on Aug 6.
The second session is on Aug 8 at the Lintasan Deasoka area, followed by the third session from Aug 15 and 16 at the Tamu group in Papar and on Aug 22 and 23 at the Kota Belud Tamu ground.
Also being introduced is the CTOS settlement programme where defaulters can apply to be removed from the list by repaying outstanding loans with a reasonable settlement amount.
