Man found unconscious at Kuantan's HTAA pronounced dead at scene

KUANTAN: The Pahang State Health Department has confirmed that a man was found unconscious in front of the main lobby of the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) here at about 10am Saturday (June 6).

In a statement Saturday, it said a medical team from the HTAA Emergency and Trauma Department was rushed to the scene to conduct an examination before confirming that the man had died.

According to the statement, police personnel, along with investigating officers, were also present at the scene to carry out further investigations into the incident.

"After initial examination and documentation were completed, the body was sent to the HTAA Forensic Department for further action," it said.

According to the department, the deceased was neither a patient receiving treatment at the hospital nor a staff member of HTAA.

The department also advised the public against making any speculation that could interfere with the investigation process.

"The Pahang Health Department extends its condolences to the family and next-of-kin of the deceased and requests that their privacy be respected throughout the investigation period," it said. - Bernama
