Thunderstorm warning issued for five states, KL until 5pm on May 30


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain and strong winds warning for five states and Kuala Lumpur until 5pm on Saturday (May 30).

In a statement, MetMalaysia said the affected areas in Pahang are Bentong and Bera, while in Selangor the warning covers Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat.

Similar weather conditions are also expected in Jelebu, Kuala Pilah and Jempol in Negri Sembilan, as well as in Sri Aman, Sarikei, Meradong, Kanowit, Mukah and Song in Sarawak.

In Sabah, the affected areas are in Ranau, Kunak, Lahad Datu, Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, Sandakan, Kota Marudu and Pitas. – Bernama
