Police to call in Perlis MB over cow-shooting video


KANGAR: Police will call in Abu Bakar Hamzah over an investigation into a viral video purportedly showing the Perlis Mentri Besar shooting a cow.

Kangar police chief Asst Comm Yusharifuddin Mohd Yusop said they are aware of the video circulating on social media and have begun preliminary investigations, although no police report has been lodged over the incident so far.

He said investigations are also underway to determine the type of firearm and ammunition used.

"We are still investigating whether it was live rounds or otherwise," he said in a statement on Friday (May 29).
