Three wanted men nabbed after car chase from PJ to KL

PETALING JAYA: Three wanted men were among four suspects arrested after a police pursuit from here to Kuala Lumpur in the early hours of Thursday (May 28).

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shamsudin Mamat said in a statement that police initially flagged down a black car near a petrol station in Kota Damansara here.

However, the driver sped off before the team could inspect the car, he said.

"The suspects drove aggressively and dangerously all the way to Air Panas in Semarak, Kuala Lumpur, before our personnel successfully apprehended them at Jalan Air Jernih," he said.

ACP Shamsudin added that an inspection of the vehicle led to the discovery of a machete and tools believed to be used for break-ins.

Three of the suspects were on the wanted list, and the four men collectively have 56 prior offences on their criminal records, he said.

They have been remanded until Friday (May 29).
