Smooth traffic reported on major highways

PETALING JAYA: Traffic flow on major highways nationwide remained smooth and under control as of Thursday (May 28) afternoon.

The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) reported that road conditions were generally clear around the Klang Valley and along major highways heading to the north, south and east of Peninsular Malaysia.

However, traffic was heavy and moving slowly at several stretches.

On the North-South Expressway (northbound), congestion was reported from Bukit Berapit to Changkat Jering in Perak.

Traffic was also slow-moving in both directions at the Johor Causeway between Johor Baru and Woodlands in Singapore.

Motorists have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly by referring to the travel time advisory issued by major highway concessionaires, including PLUS Malaysia Berhad, AFA Prime Bhd and West Coast Expressway (WCE).

Road users were also reminded to comply with traffic laws and regulations.
