Teacher in Besut remanded for two days over sexual molest probe


JERTIH: A teacher has been remanded for two days over an investigation into an alleged sexual misconduct case against a secondary school student in Besut.

The remand order against the 42-year-old male suspect was issued by Magistrate Nur Liyana Md Zukri at the Besut Magistrate's Court here for an investigation under Section 14 (a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

Previously, Besut OCPD Supt Mohd Rozaime Ab Rahman said that the teacher, from a secondary school in the district, was arrested at around 3pm on Tuesday after a police report made by two students.
