THE Johor government will ensure SJK (T) Ladang Kulai Besar receives the upgrades needed to provide students safety and convenience, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The remarks came from state exco member and Bukit Permai assemblyman Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor, who was visiting the school to officiate a new covered walkway.

Funded by a RM60,000 state government allocation, the new covered walkway will protect students from the elements during rainy days and on peak pick-up hours, he said.

Jafni, who celebrated Teachers Day with the school’s teachers, expressed gratitude to the educators bringing up the next generation of leaders.

He also vowed to help obtain funds for refurbishment where required.

Complaints from the school management and local residents regarding drainage and flooding issues in the area will also be investigated, he said.
