THE couple share a unique bond. Zaiton Ibrahim, who lost her left arm and both legs, has never been seen as anything less by her husband.

“I am ready to be the legs, hands and everything for my wife,” said Haizul Yit, 50, who married Zaiton, 39, reported Harian Metro.

They met via a matchmaking group and while Zaiton was initially worried about her disability, Haizul never hesitated.

“When I confessed my feelings, she told me she was disabled. I was surprised because she could do many things like a normal person,” he said.

For him, their connection and her strength were all that mattered.

The couple married during the movement control order (MCO) in 2020, with the blessing of Haizul’s family, including his daughter from his first marriage.

“There were people who questioned my choice, but I have no regrets because this marriage was my own decision,” he said.

Meanwhile, Zaiton said she was initially doubtful after revealing her condition, fearing Haizul would change his mind.

“But a few days later, he contacted me again and said he accepted me,” she said, adding that she often shares videos on TikTok to show that people with disabilities can also live independently.

> The daily reported that actor Amir Nafis is grateful for the steady stream of film offers he has received since late last year, but said he does not want to grow complacent.

The 34-year-old, known for films including Blood Brothers: Bara Naga and Malaikat Malam, said he hopes to continue improving his acting and character portrayal.

Amir added that his schedule is packed with film shoots from June to October.

Despite the busy run, he has no plans to take a break anytime soon.
