Thunderstorms, heavy rain in Labuan, five states until 9pm on May 22


KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit five states and Labuan until 9pm on Friday.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) stated that the weather conditions are expected to hit Terengganu in Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman as well as Jerantut and Kuantan in Pahang.

A similar warning has been issued for Kluang in Johor and for Sarawak in Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah (Tanjung Manis), Kapit, Bintulu (Tatau), Miri (Beluru, Telang Usan and Marudi) and Limbang.

In Sabah, the areas affected are the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau and Tambunan), the West Coast and Kudat. - Bernama
