MalaysiaNow chief editor questioned over report on clip involving Farhash


PETALING JAYA: MalaysiaNow chief editor Abd Rahman Koya has been called in to give his statement regarding a news article on a videoclip involving Datuk Seri Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Comm Datuk M. Kumar confirmed the matter when contacted, and added that he had been called in on Wednesday (May 20) to assist investigations under Section 500 of the Penal Code for defamation.

“Yes I can confirm it, He has been called in to assist investigations,” he said.

It was believed that Abd Rahman had entered the Petaling Jaya police headquarters at 2.15pm and was seen leaving around 30 minutes after.

On July 10, 2025, businessman Farhash, along with other parties, filed a defamation suit against MalaysiaNow and Abd Rahman, seeking RM10mil in damages over articles they claimed tarnished their reputation in the corporate world.
