Plan travels to avoid congestion during KL running event on May 9, road users told


KUALA LUMPUR: The public is advised to plan their journeys to avoid traffic congestion during the "XTEP 10km Time Trial 2026” running programme in the capital on Saturday (May 9).

Head of the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Asst Comm Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, said the programme would take place from 5am to 9am around Padang Merbok.

"In this regard, road users are advised to plan their journeys. Follow the instructions of traffic personnel and use alternative routes to avoid congestion in the affected areas throughout the event,” he said in a statement on Friday (May 8).

Mohd Zamzuri said the route would begin at Padang Merbok and pass through Jalan Berjasa, Jalan Sultan Salahuddin, Bulatan Dato Onn, Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Putra, Jalan Tun Ismail, Jalan Dato Onn, Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar (Mahameru) and Jalan Parlimen.
