SPM leavers can check UPU results from May 22

PETALING JAYA: The Higher Education Ministry will announce the outcome of applications by Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students to higher education institutions (IPTA) on May 22.

The ministry, in a statement, said that the results can be checked online from noon on May 22 until 5pm on May 31 via https://upu.mohe.gov.my, the MyGov mobile app or the UPUPocket mobile app.

It said confirmation of acceptance for offers will take place from May 23 to 31 through the websites of UA, IPTA and MARA BPT.

“Official offer letters will be issued by public universities (UA), public higher education institutions (IPTA), and Mara Higher Education Division (Mara BPT) to successful candidates starting May 23, after candidates confirm their acceptance of the offer within the stipulated period,” it said.

According to the ministry, only applicants who were unsuccessful or received a certificate-level study offer can submit an appeal application via UPUOnline® at https://upu.mohe.gov.my from noon on May 22 until 5pm on May 31.

Appeals to community colleges can be forwarded directly to the relevant institutions without going through UPUOnline®.

It also said that placement offers for the 2026/2027 academic session are final and applications to change study programmes at UA, IPTA and Mara BPT will not be allowed.

The appeal selection policy depends on the availability of places in the study programmes after the registration process for new students is complete.
