MEX fatal crash: Military officer charged with murder


KUALA LUMPUR: A military officer has been charged at the Magistrate's Court here with the murder of a Bangladeshi content creator in a car accident earlier this month.

Capt Jad Faid Arhan, 31, did not react when the charge was read out to him before Magistrate Illi Marisqa Khalizan here on Thursday.

According to the charge sheet, Jad Faid allegedly killed Muzahid Millad, 22, at KM1.9 of the MEX Highway at about 5.30am on April 23.

The charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code carries a death sentence, or imprisonment between 30 and 40 years and a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane.
