Tuaran PKR division votes to have Rafizi sacked

Tuaran PKR chairman Razeef Rakimin proposed a motion at the division's annual general meeting for Rafizi to be sacked.

KOTA KINABALU: The Tuaran PKR division tabled and passed a motion to sack former deputy president Rafizi Ramli over his continuing attacks against the party.

The division, which is headed by Razeef Rakimin, called on PKR to take firm disciplinary action against Rafizi during its annual general meeting on Sunday (April 19).

Razeef tabled the motion at the meeting.

He said Rafizi had twice been issued show-cause letters but the party disciplinary board took no action.

He stressed that the party must not shy away from enforcing disciplinary measures and should avoid treating show‑cause letters as trivial or humorous.

Razeef noted that Rafizi’s outspoken remarks crossed what some PKR top leaders considered the party constitution’s "red line", yet no action had been taken.

Razeef proposed that the party expel Rafizi if it is proven that he violated the party constitution.

Later, Razeef said the motion was not personal but over the party’s inaction against an individual who has been vocal in criticising PKR.
