Thunderstorms, heavy rain in nine states, KL, Putrajaya till 9pm


KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds have been forecast for nine states, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya till 9pm.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said that the states affected include Perak (Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim) and Kelantan (Jeli, Tanah Merah, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang).

Also, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman in Terengganu, Pahang (Tanah Tinggi Cameron, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Bera, Pekan and Rompin) and Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, Hulu Langat dan Sepang) will be affected.

The warning is also issued for Negri Sembilan, Johor (Segamat), Kuching, Sri Aman, Kapit (Song and Kapit) and Miri (Telang Usan) in Sarawak, as well as the Interior of Sabah (Beaufort and Nabawan) and Sandakan (Beluran).- Bernama
