KULIM: A non-governmental organisation (NGO) chairman is confirmed to be among 11 individuals arrested for allegedly trespassing into a factory construction site in Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP) here on Wednesday (March 25).

Kulim district police chief Supt Zulkifli Azizan said eight individuals were arrested on Friday (March 27), another on Saturday (March 28), and the remaining two, including the NGO chairman, were arrested on Monday (March 30) after the police received a report about the incident.

“Eight unknown vehicles entered the factory compound area through the main gate without permission from 3.16pm to 3.24pm on Wednesday. They made a circuit around the site before leaving through the main gate

“Two security guards on duty tried to stop the vehicles, but were ignored. A few of the individuals who trespassed recorded videos and took photographs of the factory area,” he said in a statement.
