‘Accept your results with an open heart,’ Zahid tells 2025 SPM candidates

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has called on the 413,299 candidates of the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination to accept their results with an open heart.

In a social media post on Tuesday (March 31), Ahmad Zahid said the results mark the beginning of a much longer journey for every young person in building their future.

He also reminded candidates not to forget the contributions and sacrifices of those who have been their backbone throughout their studies.

“Do not forget to express your gratitude to your parents, guardians, family members and teachers who have continuously supported and guided you throughout your journey. The success you achieve today is also the result of their prayers and sacrifices,” he said.

Ahmad Zahid further urged SPM graduates to make wise decisions about their next steps and invited them to explore Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a viable career pathway.

“Keep moving forward. Choose your path wisely. Insya-Allah, TVET will always provide opportunities for you to build your future,” he added.

Meanwhile, Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, in a video shared on her social media accounts on the same day, also congratulated all SPM 2025 candidates and described their achievement as the beginning of a broader path towards a brighter future.

“Stay motivated and continue striving to pursue knowledge at higher levels and achieve your dreams.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to express my highest appreciation and gratitude to all teachers, from primary to secondary schools, who have educated our children with dedication, patience and commitment,” she said in the 43-second video.
