Cops help couple find forgotten boy

SEPANG: Quick action by the police led to the prompt return of a child who had been left behind at a rest stop.

Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Norhizam Bahaman said a couple approached a police team manning a roadblock on Monday night for help upon leaving the Sungai Merab rest area.

“Two policemen – Kpl Rodzery Adderly Raden and L/Kpl Muhammad Amirul Fazi Mohamed Shukri – promptly escorted the family back to the rest stop. This led to the safe return of the child,” he said in a statement yesterday.

A social media post of the incident was uploaded online. The post shows a police car escorting the family back to the rest stop to look for the child.

The couple are said to have only noticed their oldest child was missing around 10 to 15 minutes after leaving the rest stop.
