KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) has partnered with RHB Bank to make it the official bank for its upcoming travel fair in April.

MATTA president Nigel Wong said RHB Bank will be supporting the national MATTA Fair in Kuala Lumpur alongside MATTA Fairs in every state across the country.

“They have been very supportive of the travel industry, and to MATTA members especially. And thanks to this partnership, the MATTA Fair has grown in leaps and bounds.

“Through this agreement, RHB will come on board as the official bank partner of MATTA for 2026 and 2027,” he said at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (Mitec) here yesterday.

Wong said the continued partnership with RHB Bank reflected a shared commitment to making travel planning more accessible, seamless and rewarding, while supporting the wider growth of Malaysia’s travel and tourism industries.

He said visitors can look forward to a range of exclusive promotions, financial solutions and travel privileges offered by the bank during the Fair at Level 1 (Domestic Hall) and Level 2 (International Hall).

The MATTA Fair, which will run from April 3 to 5 at Mitec, will occupy a total exhibition space of 40,820sq m across 10 halls.

RHB Bank head of consumer finance Sien Vee Loc said the bank reaffirmed its role as the official banking partner for MATTA’s nationwide events for two years, strengthening support for travellers and the broader tourism ecosystem.

He highlighted RHB’s Travel Plus solutions to help businesses manage foreign currency and exchange rate fluctuations.

He said RHB’s multi-currency debit card, now supporting 34 currencies, offered convenience through digital wallets and exclusive MATTA Fair perks.

“Customers can enjoy savings of up to RM4,000, alongside instalment plans and lucky draw prizes, while benefiting from instant card approvals during the fair,” he added.

During the fair, visitors who make travel purchases with RHB Visa Cards/-i can enjoy exclusive savings of up to RM4,000 with dedicated travel partners, including Corporate Information Travel, Golden Destination and MITRA Tours and Travel.

Visitors who spend with their RHB Visa Cards/-i will also be entitled to redeem exclusive travel merchandise and stand a chance to walk away with a luxury hotel voucher worth RM5,000.

The fair will feature over 2,000 booths from 330 participating organisations, including 210 tour and travel agencies that offer a diverse range of curated travel packages.

To ensure a smooth visitor experience, MATTA Fair offers free admission and will be open from 10am to 9pm.
