A WOMAN lost her RM1,200 gold chain to snatch thieves during a recent temple festival in Perak, Makkal Osai reported.

The incident was said to have taken place at the Ari Mahaletchumi Temple in Slim River.

Two foreign women were detained shortly after the incident and questioned by the police.

However, no stolen items were recovered.

Last year, 16 women lost their jewellery to thieves at the festival while 10 other lost valuable at two different temple festivals in May 2025.
