Jalan Bukit Bintang motorcycle theft probe leads to arrest of three, solving four cases

KUALA LUMPUR: Police investigations into a stolen motorcycle along Jalan Bukit Bintang have led to the breakthrough of three other criminal cases in the capital, following the arrest of three local men.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Azwan Amin Nordin said follow-up investigations into the Sept 26 incident resulted in the arrest of the three suspects, aged between 23 and 32.

"Acting on information received, police arrested three local men... who are suspected of being involved in the case. All three suspects have previous criminal records involving criminal offences and drugs," he said in a statement on Monday (Oct 19).

During the operation, police seized two motorcycles, a pair of jeans, and a pair of slippers.

ACP Ahmad Azwan added that the arrests successfully solved three additional cases within the Dang Wangi district. Police applied for a remand order against the suspects to assist with ongoing investigations.
