SINGER Ifa Raziah, who has not released anything for the past six years, is back with a song for the festive season titled Gedik Raya, Mingguan Malaysia reported.

However, the track has sparked debate online, with some criticising that the concept of the song and the music video does not reflect the spirit of Hari Raya.

Ifa, 50, is nevertheless taking it all in her stride. She said that performers should evolve with the times and adapt to trends.

“If I were to produce a song in the 1990s style, people might not want to listen to it anymore. So I try to adapt my music to suit the taste of the younger generation,” she said.

> Influencer and actress Mekyun has shared about her attempt at fasting during Ramadan despite not being a Muslim, Kosmo! reported.

“Fasting is not only about refraining from food and drink. It also teaches us patience,” she said, adding that she had fasted for three days.

The Kelantan-born, whose real name is Wee Yun Nee, said she believed there is no harm for anyone to adopt the good practices of other religions if it is done in good faith.
