PETALING JAYA: While all schools will start their Hari Raya break on March 19, several states will have an additional holiday on March 20, says the Education Ministry.
Sinar Harian reported that according to the ministry's academic calendar, Group B (Melaka, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya) will have an additional holiday on March 20.
The festive holidays will also be combined with the First Term school break, which will last nine days.
Group A states (Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu) will have their term breaks from March 20 to 28, whereas Group B states will have theirs from March 21 to 29.
