Ayer Hitam ‘big family’ gathers for breaking of fast, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: The programme at the Ayer Hitam parliamentary constituency on Monday (March 9) continued with a breaking of fast ceremony involving the leadership and grassroots of the UMNO Ayer Hitam Division, says MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

“The event was led by the Deputy Speaker of the Johor State Legislative Assembly (DUN), Datuk Samsolbari Jamali, who was accompanied by the Semarang assemblyman (ADUN), Datuk Haji Samsolbari Jamali,” said the Ayer Itam MP in a social media post on Tuesday (March 10).

The gathering, described as a coming together of the "big Ayer Hitam family", not only reflected the spirit of national solidarity but also underscored the close bonds of friendship that have endured over time.

Dr Wee, expressed his gratitude for the strong and continuous support from all Barisan Nasional (BN) members, particularly from the UMNO Ayer Hitam Division, throughout his tenure as the people’s representative for Ayer Hitam since 2004.

Echoing remarks by Samsolbari, Dr Wee said the constituency is like a shared home that they have built together and will continue to safeguard collectively.
