Man behaved indecently at KLIA2 after missing flight, say cops

SEPANG:The police confirmed an incident involving a man who allegedly behaved indecently at the KL International Airport Terminal 2.

The video of the incident had gone viral on social media earlier.

KLIA OCPD Asst Comm Ravi Munusamy said the incident involved an unidentified individual at the MyBorder counter area at the airport's international arrivals terminal on March 6.

"The man, a 44-year-old Indian national, had earlier missed his scheduled flight at 8.45pm on March 5 after falling asleep.

“While at the location, the individual scratched his right thigh, causing his trousers to slip down for about two minutes before terminal staff who were present reprimanded him and helped him put them back on,” he said in a statement on Saturday (March 7).

He said representatives from the airline had contacted the man’s family members and arrangements were being made to hand him over to officials from the Indian embassy.

"He is expected to return to his home country on March 14.

"We urge members of the public not to engage in any behaviour that could cause alarm or be considered indecent in public places, particularly in crowded areas such as airports," he said.
