KUALA LUMPUR: An 18-year-old college student has died after falling from the 22nd floor of a residential building in Setapak here.
Wangsa Maju OCPD Asst Comm Annas Sulaiman said police received a call from a security guard at 8.50am on Monday (Aug 31) informing them of the incident.
"Initial investigations and checks of closed-circuit television footage showed that the victim arrived at the residence at 7.07am.
"The victim was identified as a first-semester student at a college in Setiawangsa," he said in a statement on Monday adding that the student was staying at the college hostel.
A medical officer from Kuala Lumpur Hospital confirmed that the victim died at the scene.
"We have classified the case as sudden death and investigations are ongoing," he added.
