IPOH: A 42-year-old man has sustained burns after a plastic factory caught fire in Persiaran Industri Bercham 10 here.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said a call came in through the NG999 hotline at 3.36pm on Monday (Aug 31).
"At the location, firefighters found that 50% of the plastic factory was on fire" he said in a statement on Monday (Aug 31), adding that a male victim suffered burns and received initial treatment at the scene.
He also said that the fire involved nine factory lots, each measuring 30m by 13m, belonging to five different owners.
"The extent of damage to the respective lots are, lots 10 and 11 (20%), lots 12, 13 and 14 (70%), lots 16 and 18 (80%), lot 15 (10%) and lot 17 (60%).
