Man dies after losing control of car, crashing into tree in JB


JOHOR BARU: A 25-year-old man died on the spot after the car he was driving skidded and hit a tree at the road divider of KM18, Jalan Johor Baru-Ayer Hitam.

Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Radin Ramlan Radin Taha said the incident happened on Wednesday (March 4) at 3.45pm.

“The local male victim was travelling from Senai towards Skudai near here when the accident took place,’’ he said in a statement.

ACP Radin Ramlan said the victim suffered from severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
