Pahang Sultan, Tengku Ampuan convey condolences to family of victims killed in Raub fire

RAUB: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, expressed their condolences to the family of five who perished in a fire in Kampung Pamah Kulat, Dong, early on Thursday (Feb 26).

The royal couple also conveyed their sorrow over the tragedy and prayed that all family members of the victims be granted fortitude in facing the will and destiny of Allah SWT.

"Their Royal Highness also prayed that the souls of all victims who died during this holy month of Ramadan will be blessed and placed among the beloved servants of Allah," according to a post on the Sultanate of Pahang's official Facebook page.

Meanwhile, Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail offered his deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of the victims.

"God willing, the state government will provide appropriate assistance and ensure the welfare of the family of the victims receives full attention," he wrote on his official Facebook page.

The tragic fire claimed the lives of five family members, namely Mohd Alawi Muhammad, 56; his wife, Zaleha Adam @ Ibrahim, 44; and their three children -- Ruby Adira Batrisya, 17; Ruby Adlina Banin, 14; and Ruby Azyan Barizah, 10. – Bernama
