Eight injured in three-vehicle crash near Kg Gajah


IPOH: Eight people have been injured in a three-vehicle collision involving a lorry and two cars on Jalan Teluk Intan-Bota near Kampung Gajah.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (Operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the accident occurred at about 5.23pm on Tuesday (Feb 24) and firefighters from the Kampung Gajah fire station arrived at the scene four minutes after receiving a distress call.

He said the lorry driver escaped unhurt.

He said there was a family of five in the first car.

"The other car had a couple and their son. The woman was trapped in the vehicle and suffered injuries," he said.

"All injured victims were taken to hospital for further treatment," he said.
