Raid cuts short ‘romps’ at upscale bungalow


KUALA LUMPUR: It’s a posh, three-storey bungalow, occupied by foreign prostitutes who provide their services for fees of up to RM3,500.

The “romps”, which were either a 45-minute or 90-minute session, were offered by a syndicate that supplied women from countries such as China and Japan.

It is learnt that the syndicate had been operating from the bungalow in the upscale residential area of Desa Pahlawan for about six months.

However, their illicit activities came to an end when immigration officers raided the bungalow on Thursday.

Forty foreigners, aged between 21 and 43, were nabbed.

One of them was the “salesman”, tasked with sourcing clients through online platforms. Another was believed to be the mastermind of the operation. Both men are Chinese nationals.

“The syndicate is believed to have targeted both foreign and Malaysian clients, charging RM1,000 for 45 minutes and RM3,500 for 90 minutes,” said Immigration deputy director-general (operations) Datuk Lokman Effendi Ramli.

“We believe the bungalow had been modified and equipped to facilitate immoral activities,” he added.

“Others detained were 11 Chinese men and 19 Chinese women, five Vietnamese women, two Myanmar women and two Japanese women.”

“Six Chinese men, 19 Chinese women, two Japanese women and five Vietnamese women were found to be holding social visit passes.”

The enforcement team also seized 29 Chinese passports, five Vietnamese passports and two Japanese passports, as well as RM26,600 in cash.
