PETALING JAYA: LBS Bina Group Bhd hosted its Chinese New Year luncheon at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur.
The event was honoured by the presence of Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
The luncheon brought together distinguished guests, business partners and the LBS family in a spirit of unity, harmony and shared prosperity.
The event, reflecting LBS’ long-standing tradition of fostering togetherness and appreciation, was held as the group ushered in the Year of the Horse — a symbol of strength, vitality, perseverance and forward momentum in Chinese culture.
For LBS, the Year of the Horse resonates strongly with its growth journey, signifying renewed energy, progress and the determination to move confidently towards its long-term aspirations.
The occasion was also attended by dignitaries, including Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul, Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu and Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh, alongside other notable guests.
The Chinese New Year celebration also marked a significant milestone for LBS, coinciding with the group’s 65th anniversary, six and a half decades since its humble beginnings in 1961. Founded by the late Datuk Seri Lim Bock Seng, LBS has since grown into one of Malaysia’s leading property developers.
Approximately 600 guests attended the event and were entertained by traditional Chinese music, reflecting the harmonious multicultural spirit of the nation, while also taking the opportunity to engage with the royalty in a lively and gracious atmosphere.
During this auspicious occasion, LBS officially announced its renewed brand promise, “Building Tomorrow Together”, which embodies the group’s vision for the future, its commitment to creating thriving communities, and its dedication to delivering lasting value for generations to come.
For decades, LBS has played an integral role in shaping homes, townships, and communities across Malaysia. The group’s philosophy remains rooted in the belief that development is about people before products, that growth must be shared, sustainable and purposeful and that the future is best built in partnership with communities, stakeholders and the nation.
LBS Group executive chairman Tan Sri Ir Dr Lim Hock San, said, “Looking ahead, LBS views 2026 as a milestone year, with plans to launch 10 new projects across the Klang Valley, Johor and Pahang.
“These initiatives reflect our continued commitment to delivering accessible and sustainable developments that meet the evolving needs of Malaysian families, while supporting the aspirations of a harmonious Madani society.”
