Sabah allocates RM90mil for non-Muslim religious bodies, schools

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah allocates RM90mil to non-Muslim religious bodies and schools this year, says Deputy Chief Minister III Datuk Ewon Benedick.

“I am confident that with continued respect for diversity, we would be able to strengthen national unity and continue bringing harmony in this multicultural and multireligious country,” he said.

He made the announcement after attending the Thaipusam celebration at the Lok Kawi Sri Subramaniar Temple near here, Sunday (Feb 1).

Ewon, a Kadamaian assemblyman, said he is used to attending mass services at churches in Penampang or Kadamaian in Kota Belud and meeting the people there.
