Myanmar national stabbed to death in Tanjong Malim farmhouse


IPOH: A Myanmar national has been found dead with stab wounds at a farmhouse in Kampung Kelawar, Tanjong Malim.

Muallim OCPD Supt Mohd Hasni Mohd Nasir said police received a report around 11am on Friday (Jan 30) from the victim's employer who discovered the body during a visit to the farm, about 1.5km from the main road.

He said that the complainant found the door to the house open and the victim lying in the kitchen.

"The 25-year-old male victim was covered in blood and had stab wounds to the abdomen and slash wounds on his neck.

"The body has been sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh for a post-mortem examinatoion," he said in a statement on Friday night.

Mohd Hasni said police arrested two Myanmar nationals, both aged 39 over the case.

He added that a remand application would be filed to facilitate investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
